Radio Modules

Under the brand WiMOD IMST developed wireless modules with a wide technical range. The modules are prequalified and working on the license-free ISM frequency bands on 169/433/868MHz and 2.4 GHz. In addition to the hardware we developed our own software stacks for standard technologies like Wireless M-Bus and dispose of a numerousness of proprietary software applications.

The LoRa® technology of Semtech Corporation provides ultra-long range spread spectrum communication and high interference immunity whilst minimizing current consumption. The iM881A is especially suitable for battery driven devices. It consumes only 38mA in transmit mode with +14dBm and 25mA @ +10dBm.

The iM880B-L is for applications needing ultra longe range and very robust communication. With the implemented spread spectrum technology is it possible to reach sensitivity levels of -137dBm and set up a robust and realible communication link even than you have LTE signal nearby.

The iM980A is a compact and low-cost radio module that operates in the unlicensed 915 MHz band and combines a powerful Cortex-M3 controller with the new LoRa™ transceiver SX1272 of Semtech Corporation. A sensitivity of down to -137.5 dBm and a maximum output power of +17.5 dBm results in a link budget of more than 155 dB. The iM980A has received Federal Communications Commission (FCC) CFR47 Telecommunications, Part 15 Subpart C modular approval in accordance with Part 15.212 Modular Transmitter Statement about FCC.

The iC880A is the RF front end of a LoRa® gateway. It is able to receive on different frequency channels at the same time and is able to demodulate the LoRa® signal without knowledge of the used spreading factor of the sending node.

The iM222A is a compact, energy-efficient IEEE802.15.4 module operating in the 2.4 GHz ISM frequency band.

The iM820A offers permanent wireless availability at a low power consumption of only a few µA. Due to its integrated AES coprocessor, it is suitable for security-relevant applications. Its propagation properties are  particularly appropriate for indoor use.
