LoRa® (abbreviation for long range) is a spread spectrum modulation technique derived from chirp spread spectrum (CSS) technology. LoRa® Technology is a long range, low power wireless platform that has become the de facto technology for Internet of Things (IoT) networks worldwide.

LoRaWAN®

LoRaWAN®, a specification of the LoRa Alliance®, is a low-power / wide area network protocol (LPWA) which allows the user to wirelessly connect various applications.
In addition to bidirectional communication, it also ensures end-to-end security and provides mobility and localization services.

Within the LoRaWAN® network, gateways pass data to the various end nodes and are then routed through the central network server.

The WiMOD LoRaWAN® EndNode firmware is IMSTs compatible LoRaWAN® solution which can be integrated into end devices to participate in public or private LoRaWAN® networks.
