iM880B-L: High performance for IoT projects

The iM880B-L is a compact and cost-effective LoRa® radio module that enables long-range and low-power data transmission of up to 15 km (LoS). Combining a powerful Cortex® M3 controller with Semtech®'s transceiver, it supports EU868 and IN865 LoRaWAN frequency bands. This radio module is pre-certified according the European RED guideline and got Equipment Type Approval Certificate, which is mandatory to be imported and marketed in India. It can be soldered like a SMD component.

Available with the following protocol stacks

Our firmwares offer a comprehensive HCI protocol to seamlessly expose radio module capabilities to external host controllers. This protocol facilitates communication via UART, enabling efficient exchange of HCI messages between the host and radio module.

LR Base
LR Base

Our embedded radio stack empowers direct module-to-module communication without relying on external LoRa® infrastructure, such as gateways or network servers. This enables the implementation of various network topologies, including peer-to-peer and star, using a single, cost-effective radio module.

ProLink LoRaWAN®
ProLink LoRaWAN®

The LoRaWAN® protocol stack, developed by the LoRa Alliance®, paves the way for Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWANs) tailored for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. ProLink LoRaWAN® firmware extends this functionality with a proprietary device-to-device communication layer, enhancing connectivity and enabling innovative IoT solutions.

LoRaWAN® development software

LoRaWAN® development software

To make the implementation of the application on the MCU of the IMST’s LoRa® modules easier, our devices support the following development tools:

  • LoRaWAN® Library (on request): designed to support the development of LoRaWAN® applications integrated into the IMST’s radio modules. It guarantees a successful LoRaWAN® communication as well as handling of GPIOs, software timer, USART interface, EEPROM access…
  • GitHub: reference implementation available as open source code developed by Semtech Corporation.
