The iM980B-L is a compact and low-cost radio module that operates in the unlicensed 868/915 MHz band and combines a powerful Cortex® M3 controller with the LoRa® transceiver of Semtech® Corporation.
iM980B supports the following LoRaWAN® frequency bands: EU868, US915, AU915, AS923 and IN865
This radio module is pre-certified according the European RED guideline and received the ISED (Canada) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) CFR47 Telecommunications, Part 15 Subpart C modular approval in 902-928 ISM band.
Additionally, iM980B can integrate the LoRaWAN® application on the MCU of our module using the open source code on Github or our LoRaWAN Library (on request).
The LoRaWAN® protocol stack, specified by the LoRa Alliance®, enables Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWANS) for Internet of Things applications.
In addition, the ProLink LoRaWAN® fw adds a proprietary device to device communication to the standard LoRaWAN® FW.

LoRaWAN® development software
To make the implementation of the application on the MCU of the IMST’s LoRa® modules easier, our devices support the following development tools:
- LoRaWAN® Library (on request): designed to support the development of LoRaWAN® applications integrated into the IMST’s radio modules. It guarantees a successful LoRaWAN® communication as well as handling of GPIOs, software timer, USART interface, EEPROM access…
- GitHub: reference implementation available as open source code developed by Semtech Corporation.
