Kamp-Lintfort, Germany. IMST GmbH, a design house focused on RF design and communication systems, certified the iM880B according to the LoRaWAN® specification, opening their product portfolio to one of the biggest LPWAN markets.
“India is a high-growth potential market for IoT and LoRa® is gaining rapid acceptance. In terms of end-user adoption it is emerging as the most popular LPWAN technology. iM880B is added to our LoRaWAN® concentrator iC880A which already supports the Indian frequency band” says Heinz Syrzisko, head of the Wireless Solutions Department at IMST GmbH.
“We congratulate IMST on this LoRaWAN® Certified milestone,” said Donna Moore, CEO and Chairwoman of the LoRa Alliance®. “The LoRa Alliance® certification program provides assurance to the market that products have been designed and function according to the LoRaWAN® specification and are interoperable with other LoRaWAN® devices. It is exciting to see strong support from our member ecosystem for the rapid advancement of LoRaWAN® in India.”
Furthermore, the Wireless Planning & Coordination (WPC) responsible for Frequency Spectrum Management in India, issued the Equipment Type Approval (ETA) Certificate for iM880B, which is mandatory to be imported and marketed in India.
